Ellie has worked in the film industry since 2006, first as an actor, with roles in national television shows, feature films, and countless corporate training videos and commercials. Naturally gravitating to the production side of the business, she brought the 48 Hour Film Project to Richmond for the first time in 2007, and was the City Producer for five years. She has since been a competitor in two 48 Hour Film Projects: the first year assisting the winning team, and the second year producing the winning film. Her 2014 short film "Lexxxus" will screen at the world-famous Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in February 2015. Ellie is a past president of the Virginia Production Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides education, networking opportunities and lobbying for the film industry.
Ellie graduated cum laude from Temple University with a degree in International Business Administration. Her Italian-American dual citizenship inspired the name of her production company, Filmiamo!, which means, "Let's film!" She currently lives in Richmond with her husband and two children.
